What to expect

The ONLY thing that matters the most to me is YOU. I work really, really hard to create a safe space for you to love on each other freely. I want you to feel comfortable enough to let me see everything about you—the quiet, the silly, the mess, the connection, the imperfections, the misadventures, the everyday. 

Because the unplanned is what inspires me the most. To me, it is always about how it feels rather than how it should look.  

We will chat and message each other about the shoot and about life way before our session. I invest so much time because not only am I inspired by a very connected family, but I am inspired by my connection with you.

before we begin

I show up with my camera bag and my heart on my sleeve, open and ready to see you for all that you are. 

I don’t need a lot. All I need is for you to be present. Enjoy this meaningful time with your family and I promise you that you will get photos you will cherish for years to come. 

I know how it can feel awkward in front of the camera. Don’t worry, I got you. I am here for you and will guide you as much as you need. We will laugh. We will play. We will roll with whatever happens. 

Trust me to find the beauty in those in-between moments during our time together.

the shoot itself

You better believe I will handle your images with only the utmost care so it takes me a while to finish a gallery. I carefully curate galleries for each client and hand-edit each image in it. 

While I spend a LOT of time on post-processing, it is however a very conscious decision that I don’t “magazine retouch” photographs. To me, family photography is not about creating or even crafting a kind of perfect image. At the end of the day, it is about capturing your real life beautifully as I see it through my lens.

  • She took candid moments which make us relive the moment as a family!

    We have had two family photoshoots with Sam already. We chose to go back to Sam because she made us feel so comfortable during our shoot. She was so accommodating to our toddler and was able to capture beautiful photos and, most importantly, amazing candid moments which make us relive the moment as a family. It's not an easy feat to capture moments with an active toddler who does not want to sit still for a photo!

  • The whole session was so fun and relaxing!

    Sam is truly a master of her craft. She is the most amazing photographer with the best eye for capturing the most beautiful moments. 

    I reached out to her for a breastfeeding shoot and was feeling a bit apprehensive that I had perhaps missed the prime window for it, given that my baby had already started becoming impatient with direct feeds. 

    Sam managed to make the impossible possible and took so many wonderful shots despite a super wriggly and squirmy 10-month-old. There was no need to hold myself at weird angles or pose purposely. The whole session was so fun and relaxing, and the photos turned out so natural and beautiful I couldn’t help but tear up looking at them.

    We’ve had experiences with many photographers, but she is by far the best family photographer we’ve had the pleasure of working with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to capture precious moments with their family, made all the more beautiful through her eyes.

    Sam has nailed it again! My husband hates having his photo taken, my eldest son moves at the speed of light, my little one tends to cry when we force him to have a photo; so our only chance of a family pic is to work with the best!

    Sam is so chilled and relaxed, patient with kids, directs you when you look a bit awkward, always striving to get the best out of the session. Whilst Sam helps a great deal with advice on what to wear for the shoot, which I think can make or break a photo, in the end, when weather catches you out and little ones don’t quite comply with what you want, being relaxed and comfortable is what’s key! 

    It’s our 3rd shoot with Sam and we have her beautiful timeless photography framed all over our home.  Our latest shoot is amazing and I can’t stop looking at my boys. They have been captured just how I dreamed they could be (but not by me). I honestly cannot recommend her enough! Thanks Sam for capturing our family memories.
